You’ve seen the stakes? They mark the corners of the new church and the center of the new parking lot. Today (Monday) the engineers are drilling cores. They tell me that rock is 8 – 8 ½ feet down – good for our purposes. Samples of the soil will allow to calculate compaction and assist with the foundation design. Martha Franzen in the Diocesan Construction Office is eager that we proceed and complete the architect’s construction documents. That might require a decision by the bishop that he is confident that we are in a short and not long-lasting pause. God knows and we will follow where he leads.
