I plan on taking a few days every other month to fly home and spend a few days with Valerie. I’m doing my best to schedule those trips when there is a holiday anyway, so there is less disruption to the parish. Bishops don’t take a course in how to manage married priests. I have to give the three bishops I have served a lot of credit. Bishop Johnston knows about the plan. I am also very, very grateful for Deacons Paul and David. They know what it is like to have vocations to marriage and to ministry. And the parish staff is amazing. This means that every other month I will miss a Sunday evening 7:00pm Mass. So, expect a communion service instead of Mass at 7:00pm on Sunday, June 28th .
