Parish Employees and Coronavirus

Our diocesan finance, human resources, and legal offices have been a great resource to us and all the parishes, schools and other institutions of the diocese. The US Council of Catholic Bishops worked hard on a national level to ensure that Catholic institutions, like other faith groups and social services, can accept assistance for our employees without giving up our religious freedom. The diocesan staff has hosted video conferences for parish business managers, pastors, and school principals. Sue Nichols, our business manager, has contributed a great deal to the discussion. As a non-profit, St. Margaret’s has applied for an SBA loan to help keep working as we deal with the economic affects of the lockdown. Your parish staff is mainly working from home and serving in different ways to help us keep continue to worship, serve, welcome and share.
