Proper Dress for Mass

When your child plays a sport or participates in a school activity he/she is required dress in uniform or wear appropriate attire. We all expect to see Fr. Ernie, Deacon Paul and Deacon David dressed properly for Mass in their vestments.  We see our servers wear their albs with the correct liturgical color rope. Some clothing items can be a distraction and just seem to be inappropriate to the praise and worship of our Lord during the Mass.   So think about it, what if you were having dinner with Jesus, how would you dress for the occasion?

We respectfully request that we refrain from wearing the following when joining us for Mass.

  • Team Logo Apparel (Jerseys, etc.)

  • No other tee-shirts with large logo on front or back

  • Blue Jeans ripped, faded or with holes

  • Low-cut or strapless tops - (Keeping in mind that you always want to present a respectful appearance when bowing or bending over)

  • Showing of midriff

  • Shorts or casual Capris

  • Flip-Flops or muddy athletic shoes
