Meet
Deacon Eric Davis
Deacon
Deacon Eric came to St. Margaret on July 1, 2026 after his ordination to the Permanent Diaconate. Prior to that, he had been a parishioner at St. John LaLande since 2001 when he entered the Catholic Church as a convert. Throughout those twenty-five years he volunteered in many capacities: Boy Scout Leader, RCIA team member and co-coordinator, That Man Is You coordinator, Cursillo team member, and EMHC for the parish and St. Mary's Hospital.
Deacon Eric grew up in Independence and went to Kansas State University where he earned a degree in Landscape Architecture and met his wife, Amy. Together they have four grown boys; Aaron, Ben, Connor, and Danny. He loves CrossFit, bicycles, and lacrosse and has coached the girls team at St. Michael the Archangel since 2021. He is currently a Principal at JBC Landscape Architects, located here in Lee's Summit.
As a deacon for St. Margaret's, Eric is excited to be able to serve the Parish by assisting at Mass and other liturgies. He has a deep love for Pope St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body and hopes to integrate that into a ministry of outreach and support to the families of St. Margaret's and our Eastern Jackson County community.
