“Worthy is the Lamb”
Church Furnishings Fundraiser
2025-2026

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I
will come in to him and eat with him, and he with Me … After this I looked, and lo, in

heaven an open door…” – Revelation 3:20, 4:1

St. Margaret of Scotland Parish is in the process of a historic rebuilding of its parish building. Stationed in peaceful Legacy Park in eastern Lee’s Summit, it is one of the youngest parishes in the Diocese of Kansas City—St. Joseph. We are dedicated to building a sanctuary fitting for what Catholics believe takes place on the Lord’s Day in the Mass, which is nothing short of the Wedding Feast of the Lamb.

We are looking for people willing to sponsor elements of our interior rebuild. Please consider joining us in our mission.

"Worthy is the Lamb"

Fundraiser for Portico Entrance, Interior Furnishings & Gifts

A Message from Our Pastor

Our Parish renovation project is well underway.  Several items were identified during construction that should be addressed now rather than postponed to a future stage (for example:  choir loft structure support, replacing three rooftop HVAC units, repairing concrete work, and installing a portico at the entrance to address water leakage issues).  The combination of these items and the remaining "soft cost" interior work may drive the need for a loan to complete our project.  Any loan amount will depend on what we can raise to otherwise offset the balance due at the end of construction.

A  lead gift of $200,000 and several additional gifts have been committed, and there are many ways in which you can also help defray potential debt.  In addition to the Portico Entrance, below is a list of interior furnishings and gifts with an estimated dollar amount needed for each item.  Please consider donating to help cover the estimated need for any of these items, which you may also dedicate to a loved one in their honor. There will be a Dedication Book to identify the parishioner(s) contributing to a particular need, including the person(s) in whose honor a donation may have been made. Any amount(s) towards any item(s) is greatly appreciated.  If the amount collected for an identified item exceeds the estimated (or ultimate actual) amount needed for that item, the excess amount(s) will, in the discretion of myself and the Finance Council, be applied to either 1) another item on this list for which insufficient funds have been received, 2) other unpaid outstanding renovation project costs, or 3) if the project is fully funded, then the general operation of the parish.

Together, we can defray, and hopefully eliminate the need for, any  potential renovation debt. Thank you for your continued support!

Blessings, Fr. Adam Haake
