Meet
Kathy Schadle
Pastoral Care and Outreach
Kathy assumed the role of leading our Friendship Ministry when Fr. Ernie and Valerie Davis retired. Little did she know, when Valerie called her to attend a morning meeting, what the future would hold as she was asked to lead the Friendship Ministry. With the help of a great committee, the Friendship Ministry has grown to participate in outreach to our parish family, our Lee's Summit community, and beyond our city limits. Our monthly BINGO has grown to include our monthly Lunch Bunch, allowing everyone to visit a favorite restaurant or explore a new one.

Soon after Fr. Haake was assigned to St. Margaret of Scotland, he asked Kathy to consider accepting a position as Director of Pastoral Care. Upon returning from a pilgrimage to Ireland and Scotland, which focused on the life and history of St. Margaret, she accepted the challenge of exchanging her insurance agent's hat for the Pastoral Care Director position.

Kathy's focus will be to broaden our outreach as we go forward in our new St. Margaret of Scotland home. Fr. Haake has exciting plans for our Parish, and she is eager to help with the development and growth of our outreach.

Kathy would love to visit with you and learn about your hopes and ideas for continuing our St. Margaret of Scotland legacy of being a welcoming home for everyone.
