Ty Sanders
Parish Life Coordinator & Safe Environment
Ty Sanders is the new Parish Life Coordinator at St. Margaret’s. He grew up in Clinton before attending college at Missouri State University, where he studied Biology and was introduced to FOCUS, which was pivotal to his faith formation. After college, he attended seminary for about three years in Nebraska and Rome, studying philosophy and theology before discerning a call to marriage. Since then, he has earned a nursing degree and most recently taught upper school courses at Regina Caeli Academy in Overland Park. It has certainly been a winding career path, but he is happy to be at St. Margaret’s, doing what he can to help the parish thrive.

While Ty views his work at St. Margaret’s as a valuable opportunity to serve the wider parish community, his primary vocation is to be a disciple of Jesus Christ through serving his wife and children. He met his wife Claire through the City on a Hill young adult ministry. They have been married for almost eight years and are blessed with four beautiful children: Theo (7), John-Paul (5), Judah (3), and Magdalene (1). When Ty is not working at the parish, he is busy with sippy cups, diapers, Legos, and playdough. His hobbies include woodworking, gardening, camping, and many more. It is a wonderfully chaotic season of life, and he does his best to cherish every moment with his family and serve God through it all.
