Marriage
Catholic marriage is a beautiful vocation grounded in faith, love, and promise. Through this sacrament, couples invite God to be at the center of their relationship as they begin a life together.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that “the matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life… has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament” (CCC 1601).

Through their vows, husband and wife are called to a communion marked by fidelity, permanence, sacrifice, and openness to life.

Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen famously wrote, “It takes three to make love last: you, your spouse, and God.”

Catholic marriage is strongest when centered on Christ, who unites and sustains the couple through every season of life.

Preparation for marriage is an important part of honoring this sacred vocation. The Church invites engaged couples into a time of formation, prayer, and reflection so they may enter marriage with faith, intention, and a deeper understanding of their calling.

Our parish community rejoices in and supports married couples, recognizing marriage as a living witness to God’s faithful and enduring love.
