Baptism
If you are exploring Baptism, you are already responding to God’s gentle call. The Church welcomes your questions, your journey, and your desire to grow in faith as you consider this life‑giving sacrament.
Baptism is the first and foundational sacrament of the Christian life, the doorway through which we are reborn as sons and daughters of God and incorporated into the Body of Christ. Through the waters of Baptism, original sin is washed away, the Holy Spirit is bestowed, and the baptized are united to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches, Baptism is “the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit” (CCC 1213).

At St. Margaret's Catholic Church, we welcome individuals and families wherever they may be on their journey of faith. Questions are encouraged, and no prior theological knowledge is required — only a sincere openness to God’s grace and truth.

As Fulton J. Sheen once wrote, “As a man must be born before he can begin to lead his physical life, so he must be born to lead a Divine Life. That birth occurs in the Sacrament of Baptism.”
